Description

Stunning-looking and ultra-rare copy of this 1971 debut album from UK based rock band, Home.

Sadly short-lived, the band should have been more successful - touring with the likes of Led Zep and Argent. There's no doubting the band members' musicality, as members went on to join the likes of Wishbone Ash and AC/DC.

This CBS debut from 1971 is incredibly rare, with very few copies surfacing, especially in the UK.

US pressings on EPIC seem to be more prevelant, but this is a genuine 1971 UK A1/B1 copy.

Vinyl: Visually - Ex. Superb looking copy with only the lightest of superficial surface marks and retaining a glorious lustre and sheen. Incredible for a 46 year old album! Play-tested in full and I've graded it as VG+. It plays really well with no jumps, skips or scratches, but there is a little persistent background crackle that occasionally leaks through the audio. This is only ingrained dust in the grooves, and a professional clean would solve it. (Personally, I can live with the crackle as it seems more authentic.)

Plain orange labels with black label-text with the boxed CBS walking eye logo around the spindle hole. Labels are immaculate with only light traces of spindle-wear.

Sleeve: VG+  Lovely condition for its age. Matt-finished colour fold-out sleeve with desert/cowboy design front & rear. Inner cover features black & white band photo with track-listing, credits & some brief biog info. Print finishing by Shorewood Packaging.

Structurally, sleeve is entirely intact with no splits or tears. There's some minor edge-wear and some sticker residue top-right (see photo).

Inner sleeve is original CBS bag featuring adverts for other CBS albums.

Superb copy of this genuine rarity & collectors item. European & US copies currently for sale on this site and Discogs are pitched around £40 minimum.
