Description

Hookfoot - Communication (DJM 1972 1st UK press DJLPS 428)

Excellent copy of this quite hard to find 1972 album by Hookfoot, featuring the standout guitar work of Caleb Quaye. 

Quaye was a regular on Elton John's early albums, and forged an awesome reputation as a top session guitarist, later recording with Hall & Oates. When US talkshow host David Letterman interviewed Eric Clapton and asked him what it's like being the world's best guitarist, Slowhand replied "I'm not - Caleb Quaye is!" You be the judge.

A UK 1st press on DJM, this has the appealing translucent red effect when the vinyl is held up to the light (see photo). 

Gatefold sleeve is in great order with just a little edge and corner wear, and a tiny bit of ringwear. Vinyl plays excellently - there are one or two minor marks which don't impact the audio. Labels are excellent. 

Comes with original plain white inner, slightly browned through age. 

Great album for rock guitar fans and collectors of rarer 70s rock.
