Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 1539, Horace Silver 6 Pieces Of Silver a flat edged (see photo 6), blue and white, deep groove, 47 west 63rd, microgroove, (with no Inc, and no r) labeled, mono issue with RVG etched and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG(+) condition showing marks on both sides but playing quietly except for some audible crackle in some random (mostly quiet) spots. There are no skips or distortion of the music. There is nothing to interfere with the enjoyment of the music. The cover, with the 47 West 63st St., New York 23, address has a name in marker on the front and back and 6" splits on the top and bottom seams (photos 4-5). The labels are very good but show some spindle wear. This would make an excellent initial "play" grade copy of this beautiful early Blue Note mono issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
