Horace Silver Quintet - 6 Pieces of Silver LP
Original Lexington Pressing from 1956! Blue Note BLP 1539 Mono
Has first pressing indentifiers: Deep Groove Lexington Labels, "Ear", RVG (etched), Frame Cover, 767 Lexington address on cover, 9M in runout, Blank spine, Non-laminated cover.
This copy is definitely an above average example of an original press. the cover is very well-kept. vinyl plays very nicely throughout.
Playtested in full and strictly graded with an Ortofon Quintet MC Mono cartridge on Clearaudio Concept TT, through Horn-Loaded full range Klipsch Forte II Speakers.
Condition Vinyl: VG+. Some light marks, hairlines on vinyl, has nice lustre. No feelable scratches. Platter lies perfectly flat on turntable.
Side 1: VG+ (weak VG+) plays with great fidelity loud and strong, soft static follows intensity of music, light tics here and there. Very enjoyable listen
Side 2: VG+ (strong VG+) plays a bit better than first side.
Cover: Nice VG+ Cover is very well-kept. No splits, some light age wear. corner ding lower left. rubbing under light front/back. very slight bowing. tiny price written in pencil on back. (see pics)
No original inner, although there is an original? paper sleeve.. Audiophile sleeves will be included.
