Description
The record has 767 Lexington Ave., NYC address on both labels and the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove. The record has "RVG" and the "ear" inscribed in the dead wax. The record has a "flat edge" and is moderately heavy. 1 label shows minor discoloration. Original 12" issue. Leader, Horace Silver, piano; Gene Ramey, Curly Russell, Percy Heath, bass; Art Blakey, drums; Sabu conga drums. Recorded on 4 dates in 1952 and 1953.
Cover: VG++ Intact and clean with minor wear and slight aging on both sides. Fine appearance.
Record: VG+ Visually shows light wear with several rub marks on both sides. Also, a small scratch towards the end of Track 1, Side 2 which results in 5 or 6 clicks. Some light crackles a the beginning of Track 1, Side 2 and a small number of light crackles on Track 2, Side 2 at the beginning of this track. 3 or 4 light clicks on Track 3, Side 2. Except for the limited noise described, no other surface noise in spite of the of the rub marks. Fine overall sound throughout. These interested should review my description of the sound and condition. Audibly checked.
