Description
This auction is for a signed copy of the vinyl, LP, first pressing of Horses, by Patti Smith.
Ms. Smith signed the front cover of the album after a show at the Belly-Up Tavern in Solona Beach, Ca.
As Ms. Smith was signing the album in black marker, she showed it to Tony Shanahan and said, "You can tell that this is a first pressing of the album because of the coloring on the cover which was later changed."
As noted elsewhere: The front and back cover show some fading/dirt/wear around all four sides. There are also nicks along edges of the three closed sides. The original inner sleeve is included and has 3" tear along lower edge and fading due to exposure to light. The record shows no scratches by visual inspection and appears to be to in VG+ to EX condition on both sides. Though the cover shows some wear, overall this is a very good copy of this record with a very nice signature.
