Description

Hot Blows Sweet Tempo Records TAP-10 UK This item consists of 2 records with only one side recorded on each. These are acetates and do not have great sound quality, although visually they are in near mint condition. They have white center labels with “Factory Sample Not For Sale” on them as well as hand written titles. There is no cover, but there is a proof of the back cover with the liner notes and personnel contained within. The proof has a 4-inch tear that has been taped with scotch tape. This is the first Tempo label sampler and it contains tracks from EP only releases as well as records that were not yet released. I believe one of the tracks by Dizzy Reece was never issued elsewhere, possibly more of the tracks on this record were only issued here. There are a lot of musicians on this record, so I will only list the leaders; Dizzy Reece (4 Tracks with different groups), Don Rendell (2 quartet tracks), Victor Feldman (2 tracks, one of them with Reece), Tubby Hayes (1 track), Damien Robinson (1 track), Harry Klein (1 track with Ronnie Scott), Dickie Hawdon (1 track with Tubby Hayes). This is a ONE-OF-A-KIND item, as they generally only made one acetate before pressing a record. Extremely rare!

All domestic orders over $20.00 will be insured. All records will ship in proper record boxes with cardboard packing.  Corners are wrapped with paper fiber tape.  We also remove all records from their sleeves before shipping to protect the seams of cover.  Sealed records will NOT be opened for shipping, unless requested.
