Who are these two hot bands on this Paramount 12359?

On the A side, Austin & His Musical Ambassadors do "Don't

Forget To Do The Mess Around When You Do The Charleston."

(take-2) This was done in Chicago, probably in February 1926, a

7-piece band. One source suggests that this group includes Bob

Shoffner, Vance Dixon and Tiny Parham.

On the reverse side, apparently recorded in New York in May of

1926, a group calling themselves The Hotentots play "Lot's O'

Mama." Rust suggests a possible connection to the OM5, but after

listening, I reject that. Another source indicates a possible Freddie

Keppard-led group, and recorded in Chicago in October of 1926

and not in New York.

I won't speculate further, but both sides are hot.

The record is in V+ condition.
