Description

  Howard Riley Trio - Angle LP - CBS Realm Jazz Mono Excellent album of piano led, free jazz goodness. This is the harder to find first mono pressing on CBS.

The vinyl has some quite serious looking surface scuffs but I played right through them, including the quiet bits and didn't hear them. It does sound incredible, especially the double bass solo on side two - to my mind this is a strong argument in favour of mono > stereo. So, visually the vinyl grades VG, audibly it's a good EX. It's just been professionally cleaned.

The laminated sleeve is VG+, it has a bit of grime on the unlaminated white back due to contact with other records.



Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
