Description
Chess no. LP-1434 (sleeve), CH-1434-LP (disc). I’m pretty sure this is the original US release from 1959 as the 1965 Chess UK release has a different number. In 2011 Rolling Stone ranked the album as no. 153 on their list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. This, like my other vinyl albums on sale, hasn’t been played for many years. Visually the disc appears to be in very good condition though with a very light scratch on side 1. The inner sleeve is a transparent plastic bag so not original. The outer sleeve is split across the top (i.e. top edge is open); otherwise see photos for condition. Only one careful owner since bought probably about 1964 at Transat Imports in the basement of 27 Lisle Street, Soho (http://www.britishrecordshoparchive.org/transat-imports.html).
