First pressing of Howlin' Wolf's masterpiece "Moanin' in the Moonlight."
Mono; "Sheldon" stamp in deadwax. These are the indications of a first pressing; some of this 1958 run have black labels and others blue. It's my understanding the blue labels are later, and much rarer, than the black ones.
A few light surface scratches in vinyl; last time I played it it had no skips or pronounced pops. A few pressing bubble divots, which almost all of these have from the manufacturing. Overall very, very clean.
Sleeve is still quite glossy, as you can see from the photos. Edges are solid and in good shape with some minimal foxing and wear.
Just a really good example of 62-year-old LP. I have had this since 1987 and have played it maybe three times in that time; it has been carefully stored otherwise.
