This LP is from a cherished collection of Blues/R&B vinyl owned by a 1960's R&B musician we now have the pleasure of selling.

This exceptional & rare UK 1965 1st mono pressing from the great Bluesman from Chicago is on the gold Chess label: CRL 4508

Matrix numbers: CRL 4508 A1 & CRL 4508 B1

Pye stamper codes: A/1 & B/1

Vinyl weight: 173g


Housed in a front-laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed mono cover & original PYE advertising inner-sleeve.

Visual: VERY GOOD

This respectable looking example been played and handled with care and both playing surfaces are clean and retain their original deep gloss shine. Examination beneath halogen light reveals a few fingernail scuffs and light hairlines along with a sparkling rainbow shine.

Audio: EXCELLENT

Played on quality equipment only, this great sounding disc sounds clean & clear throughout with no groove/playwear or crackle. Our play-check found just a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks but no clicks, pops, jumps or any other such distractions on this incredible album which will not disappoint.

  Cover: VERY GOOD -

General handling & storagewear consistent with its age. The rear panel is discoloured with age and has a small written name & two marks aside the side 1 track listing.
