Description
Howlin Wolf So Glad / I Asked For Water Chess 1632 45. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.
Chester Arthur Burnett (June 10, 1910 – January 10, 1976), known as Howlin' Wolf does howl on so glad. Little bit of light crackle, a few pops here and there. So, I would say about VG or a little better. Stylized with words and music woven together. Bit dull and scuffed but, sounds pretty good. Still enjoyable to listen to with a little surface noise reminding us its a little old. Good example of early Howlin' Wolf.
DISCLAIMER: This record is from a deceased collector and dealer's vault. I am not a collector and by no means an expert on records. I listen to the singles once or more and match what I hear to published standards of record grading. I try to be cautious and underestimate the record condition, usually giving a possible range. I add description to clarify what I thought I heard as well as my feelings about the music. I am assuming potential buyers are well informed about the record. On LPs, I do a careful visual inspection and may listen to a cut that I suspect may be damaged. I may do a quick cleaning but do not have equipment to properly clean records at this time. Because of my lack of real expertise, I am offering records at what I think is a reasonable but low starting price. If it is bidded up to a high price, it is because buyers want it that much not because I have hyped it or over estimated it. When making an offer, remember I have over $3 in postage and materials. Please don't be angry at me for expensive purchases. I am often surprised at how little or how much a record is wanted by collectors and often have to reduce prices or cancel failed auctions that make the value not worth the time. Bidders set the value.
