RARE!
Stanley Hummel, a protégé of Josef Lhevinne at Julliard, became a master piano teacher himself, and Linda Cuneo, one of his finest students, was also groomed musically by Emil Danenberg of Oberlin and Gorodnitzki of Julliard.
Here, together on this rare Ersta, they play the music composed for two pianos by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, and Mendelssohn.
Played with grace and agility -- independent finger technique -- the results are captivating and remind one of what the NY Times said upong hearing a concert in NYC given by Mr. Hummel:
"He held the the audience so quietly enchanted that the muffled traffic noises of Seventh Avenue, ordinarily unheard, jarred on the nerves."
This copy has a jacket without fault; record within should play near mint. (Back is signed by Mr. Hummel.)
