This is a a copy of the Monster free jazz private press lp entitled Musiki by The Huseyin Ertunc Trio.It is an original pressing on Intex Records out of Bayside New York.(rec. No.83).I sold my own copy on Ebay last week for $390 so a collector friend asked me to list his. This is a Classic Cosmic free jazz improv lp from the mid 70s and has never been legitimately reissued in any format!Truly Killer Out There jams!Has at times an arabic trance vibe. The trio was: Michael Cosmic (alto/soprano sax,clarinets,flute,piccolo,organ,percussion),Phil Usra (tenor/soprano sax,flute,zurna,clarinet,percussion), and Huseyin Ertunc (drums).tracks are: The Creator Spaces,More Beautiful Vibrations From The Creator, and Space On Space. Visuallyside one is a VG .It has two two inch lines.However,It plays VG++ on my stereo with no noticable noise.Side two isVG++ both sides retain good sheen.Comes in the Original plain black jacket with paste on front and rear covers (glue has come through the front cover) and is still in the shrink wrap!Corner wear and 1/4" splits at opening. To give you an idea as to where these guys where coming from;here's a taste of the liner notes: 'In now listening shant's moving those whom hear lights outside too's numerous willing towards all spirits roundm's form above thy one's insides space carry animal't surface in reflect placement...". This one lives up to the hype!Think late Coltrane and Ornette/Cherry but spacier! Great Organ sounds!
I just discovered an old 8x10 black & white flyer or handbill inside the jacket!(See photo) It reads: The Creators Black Music presents The Phil Musra Group and The Morris Oliver Gospel Quartet Friday November 1,1974 Norse Auditorium 602 Commonwealth Avenue admission $1.50 sponored by: the Martin Luther King,Jr. Afro-American Center of Boston University don't miss these bad sounds!!!!!!!!! . Very cool and very rare find!
