Very scarce u.k.only lp that has become so sought after in recent years.So hard to find,I’m sure Davjon lps were pressed in very small numbers.Many people have been searching for this lp during the last two or three years and copies just don’t turn up.
Incredible tracks that feature Tubby Hayes on tenor sax and flute,Clive Hicks,Ike Isaacs,Cedric West on guitar,Mike Nottingham on bass,Len Clarke on drums and of course Ted Taylor on organ as well as the Mike Sammes singers providing some great vocals and harmonies.
This is an lp that really does live up to the hype,not only is it as rare as hen’s teeth but the music is awesome too.Super funky jazz versions of various hymns and manages not to sound at all cheesy but just kicks all the way,needs to be heard to be believed.
Plenty of beats and loops and some wicked sax and flute playing form the great Tubby Hayes,killer heavy organ solos,crisp drums and bass and tight guitar chops.
Tracks include the killer drum break laden‘Glorious Things Of Thee Are Spoken’ and ‘Harvest Home’,’He Who Would Valiant Be’,’O Worship The King’ and a wicked percussion driven latin jazz version of ‘All Things Bright And Beautiful’
All records are securely packed and removed from the covers whilst in transit.
