Ultra-RARE UK / German PSYCH Progressive Hard Rock lp ------ I DRIVE --- s/t ---- on METRONOME Records (MLP 15.420) stereo, ORIGINAL GERMAN issue - Dark Blue / Turquoise Design, Black and White print. Awesome HEAVY Riffin Hard Psych, mixing UK Hard progressive moves with Krautrock.
Hans Pokora's "1001 Record Collector Dreams" book gives I DRIVE a Three out of Six on his Rarity scale (DM 350 - to DM 650 -- VERY RARE)
COVER: EX to NM condition - only flaws is a near invisible "initials" obc (looks like yellow crayon - most likely removable) and a slight bend in cover (also quite minor)
VINYL: EX condition - a few VERY lite scuffs (most people would grade as NM), Beautiful shine, TOP COPY!
"I-Drive formed in Manchester 1966 and to reach fame they were forced to come down to Germany to play on the clubcircuit back then they were fronted by the famous Geoff Harrison that later recorded great albums with 2066 AND THEN and KIN PING MEH. I-Drive started out as beatgroup, in 1969 the band changed to become a highly interesting heavyprogressive outfit. Harrison left in 1970. Later I-Drive got picked up by a former Beatles manager and got them the deal with Metronome. The album failed cause of lack of promotion and bad distribution and the band got kicked out, and I-Drive decided to split up. The album is wonderful and it got so much everything from heavy brutal rock with a incredible guitarwork, great vocals and a great production to softer material. It is a great shame that the band failed, it would have been highly interesting to hear the follow up the band after what I have read did a number of tours and were also a exciting liveact. Musically its compareable to Deep Purple, Budgie, Atomic Rooster just to name some of the similarities."

I use brand new Bags Unlimited mailers with cardboard insert, records are shipped with vinyl in inner sleeve outside cover (unless sealed!) and protected in a new/unused 3mil poly outer sleeve, I have shipped literally thousands of rare records to nearly every location around the world - and I believe I have NEVER had a complaint!
And now something about ME... I have been dealing records internationally for about seven years, starting out in Indianapolis at Aether/OR records distributing scarce psychedelic, progressive, garage, space rock, Kraut rock, etc reissues worldwide. Also during this time I created mail order lists of rare original pressings for a shop also in Indianapolis called Missing Link (a highly regarded store also specializing in rare psych, jazz, punk and everything else!). With Missing link I also was in charge of shipping (also world wide) keeping track of payments, grading, cleaning, etc of said records. Since then I have been dealing lps in the Northampton, MA area selling thousands of hard to find albums encompassing most genres. I am an avid collector of 60s psych, garage, punk, wave and the unusual since I was about 10 years old! which means 25 years of collecting. If in the New England area, please check out my shop!
