Original 1976 Silver Music press S.M. 2001 - made in Italy.
Stellar Italian Library record on the secondary label Silver Music (Nelson Records parent label) by the infamous quartet I MARC 4, composed of Maurizio Majorana on the bass (M), Antonello Vannucchi at the organ (A), Roberto Podio at the drums (R), and Carlo Pes (C) on guitar. I Marc 4 provided some of the best cinematic and theme music of the time, and this is some of their real top notch stuff with loads of groovy beats, Jazz-Funk and Lounge Exotica mood music as usual in addiction to superb cinematic themes and bewitching scat vocals by Edda Dell'Orso.
Mindmelting grooves and top of the top B-boy beats on this incredible I MARC 4 LP, like the oustanding theme "TRAMA NELLA METROPOLI", very similar in style to the famed RAY BAN cut but with much groove and faster driven sound: crazy, totally catching obsessive Hip Hop loop with super dope drum breaks and unbelievable bass riff, also comped on SUONI MODERNI by Irma label like other tracks from this incredible session. "CANDY" is another killer banger, Lounge Funk driven beat with groovy flute and organ jobs. "ON THE RAIN" features the enchanting Edda's voice on superb Bossa Lounge arrangement, "FLAUTI ENSEMBLE" is another Jazz-Funk flutes dopeness, with its Modal groovy lines filled with percussions and rhythms. "SUMMER IN LOVE" brings the Edda's da-ba-da scats on sweet exotic theme, while "ARCOBALENO" is the missing theme from NEL MONDO DEL LAVORO Library by Rino De Filippi, also played by I Marc 4, and surely an outtake from that incredible session. One of the best Italian Library albums out there!
TOP OF THE TOP LP for record collectors and I MARC 4 essential gem. Great for DJs, beat makers and Library/OST junkies.
