Il Gruppo d'Improvvisazione - Nuova Consananze, "The Private Sea of Dreams", RCA Victor LSP3846. Original stereo pressing circa 1967. This is one of the weirdest records I've ever found. Picked it up in a thrift store about 20 years ago. Il Gruppo is an Italian group of improvisational musicians that use instruments, bizarre vocals, and trippy sound affects to create consciousness expanding experiences (the cover states: "improvisational mood music for modern dream extensions"). If you've ever had a taste of the hard stuff things sound a lot like this record. A "trip" record if ever there was one. A pretty rare find. Not for the faint of heart. Great liner notes on the back by David Horowitz. Cover is VG (ring wear on front and back, edge wear, spine wear, dinged corners). Vinyl is VG+ (some scuffs but plays really well - don't think the original owner spun it much).
