Very hard to find 1976 issue with a highly sought after David Stone Martin artwork cover. This record is on the obscure private New York City Label JRC Records. Playing with Illinois Jacquet on this LP are Joe Newman, Art Farmer, Jimmie Smith, Kenny Burrell, Gerry Mulligan, Roy Haynes, James Moody and Jack Six, wow. This is a great Jazz rarity that seldomly turns up for sale.
The cover is stunningly beautiful and in very nice condition. If you look closely, there is just a small amount of very light surface wear. The back has the name “Litale” barely noticeable in small letters near the top right corner. There is some seam wear on the top and bottom but no splitting, and the spine is in very nice shape. There are 2 small light dings on the right corners and a small ding on the top seam. The record is clean, shiny, and looks like it has rarely been played. The vinyl looks excellent even under a strong lamp.All LPs come packaged carefully in sturdy corrugated boxes made specifically for LPs including a cardboard insert, plus the covers are placed in clear plastic record sleeves. The vinyl is removed from the cover (except for SEALED items) for shipping to prevent seam splitting during shipment.
