The Impalas' highly collectible 1960 Cub LP ‘Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)’ contains the vocal group's two hits: the smash title track and the minor hit "Oh, What a Fool." Lead singer Joe Frazier frequently wanders out of key, but the lightweight material is fun and doesn't invite serious criticism. "Sorry (I Ran All the Way Home)" is by far the group's most substantial pairing of song and performance and can be heard on oldies anthologies such as Eric Records' Hard to Find 45s on CD, Vol. 1.

· CONDITION:
· RECORD
(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)
(a) CAUTION! The vinyl is only VERY GOOD (-)- TO GOOD++, with multiple, numerous, small scuffs and scratches which are BOTH visible AND audible. The record plays with light and tolerable BUT AUDIBLE surface noise and occasional pops and clicks. The record plays without skipping throughout. This record WAS play-graded.
(b) A note about the condition of this record: as you can see, the condition of this album is not mint or near mint; however, we never stop marveling at how these old records, despite their wear and tear STILL manage to play almost two levels above their visual grade. Simply put: the record plays much better than it looks.
(c) The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).
(d) Small “C” burn mark (almost like branding of some sort) noted on one of the labels
(e) Stereo pressing of this title is much rarer, and by far more preferable to its mono counterpart. The mix is more graphic, the sound resolution more precise, and the channel separation (which does not exist on mono version) adds a whole new dimension to the music. Also, the stereo mixes are (by definition) somewhat different than on the mono version. We estimate that mono copies of this album outnumber stereo copies by a ratio of at least 10:1.
(f) Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
· COVER
THE COVER IS ABOUT VERY GOOD- (VG-).
The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:
- Cover has a partially split top seam; This split seam was delicately taped by the previous owner with a piece of BLACK PACKAGING TAPE which – despite appearances – very nicely mimics the color of the cover’s stereo banner and is fairly nicely integrated into the artwork
- Cover has a partially split spine and bottom seams; These two split seams were delicately taped by the previous owner with a piece of transparent scotch tape (one on each seam)
- Cover has a few visible, occasionally oppressive, wrinkles along the seams and across both panels (front and back)
- Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.
- Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and 10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 4
- Cover shows some light yellowing on both sides, apparently from aging.
- Back cover has circular tarnish (grayish, dust-covered sections, which closely follow the contour of the record), probably caused by friction or by rubbing against other covers during the storage. The tarnish is similar in appearance to a common ring wear, but, UNLIKE ring wear, these grayish areas may be possible to clean up with a minor effort and with a right cleansing solution.
- Cover has some light yellowish stains, probably from exposure to humidity.
- Cover has two corners slightly worn / frayed / bent.
NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:
- No cut-out (drill) holes.
- No cut-out corners
- No saw-marks or indents
- No writing
- No stamps
- No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams
- No peel-off marks
- No mold or mildew spots
- No stickers or labels
- No water damage
- No warping
- No bar codes
- No RIAA stamps or stickers.
