Jazz-rock gem maker Jiro Inagaki gets his defining 1975 album 'Funky Stuff' reissued - and it is funky stuff indeed. Flicking through, we sense the sultry stench of funk waft over to Japan, where we realise the full force of Inagaki's bold claim that he brought black funk to his home country. Its grooves are polished and glistening, charting a cover of Cool & The Gang and myriad J-funk originals.
