Description
The Inclusions:Unamerican Activity/Russian Youth (no label/1980)
Possibly the 1st time a copy of this ultra ultra rare 45 from Minnesota has been publicly offered; certainly here on eBay.
Quirky DIY-quality powerpop/riffpunk with goofy lyrics summing up the late Cold War sentiments of the time (don't know if they were serious, but equating Ronald Raygun with the KKK & Nazis as unamerican activity works for me). If a band could be sloppy yet still sound tight, these guys manage to pull it off.
I was told this might be on a Killed By Death volume, but have never actually seen it on one (lost track of the in the late 90s deluge of releases). It definitely would fit in with the best of those. This is listed in Henry Weld's Discography of American Punk, though I disagree with the reviewer's feelings (I think they definitely rock).
Never came with a picture sleeve. The sides are appropriately labelled "Our Side" and "Their Side".
The record is in Ex condition (light scuffing from sleeve insertion on both sides; 2 very light pops in the later half of side 1, 1 pop in the middle of side 2, otherwise plays with no noise). The labels are in perfect shape (the blurring in the photo is from the scan).
Shipping will be quoted with my post-auction message.
Check out my other auctions-lots more punk & hardcore up this week.
On Jun-29-03 at 08:55:42 PDT, seller added the following information: After purchasing, pay instantly with your credit card through PayPal! On Tue Jul 01 04:55:25 PDT 2003, seller added the following information: Just got some info from a highly reliable source.
This has not been comped.
It also has appeared a couple of times here on eBay. Still, we are talking mega-rarity. On Tue Jul 01 05:01:40 PDT 2003, seller added the following information: I've been getting a number of requests for a clearer scan of the record. I will be making a larger and deeper scan of this that will be available on request.
However, I will be obscuring the band member names listed on the label. I will make a complete scan available after the auction to anyone who has placed a serious bid.
