Description

Original UK stereo gatefold LP, release date 1969 on the Red Elektra label, catalogue number: EKS74057 Matrix nos: side1) 74057A//1111 side 2) 74057B//1113 Condition of cover/record: NEAR MINT / MINT (Grading as used by Record Collector) The cover is a gatefold made & printed by E J Day, London and Bedford. There is one one-inch curved crease on the front cover, and approx two-inches of wear in dots and dashes near the front cover bottom edge. Other than these minor blemishes, this cover is in MINT condition, with no other creases, no tears, no rings, no splaying of the open edge, no wear to any of the edges, no writing or stickers. The spine is in perfect condition as is the print on it. The inner sleeve is white polythene-lined. The two labels are perfect – no writing, no spindle marks (I looked with a magnifier under bright light and could see none). The record plays VIRTUALLY FAULTLESSLY – just one faint click near the start of ‘white bird’, and apart from that only very few very faint crackles (no more than 5 or 6 on the whole album). Given that this album is an acoustic set, there is ample opportunity for there to be glaring imperfections in sound quality, but the record plays almost like new, hence the MINT rating. This record was cleaned and played before the auction to ensure accuracy of description. This item has no reserve on it, & is from my personal collection.
