WHAT A FIND! Recorded in 1995, this is a 7 inch 33 1/3 rpm vinyl record and is the first release ever made by the now legendary band INCUBUS, as they were first starting off on their career and still in high school. This very obscure and extremely rare record "Let Me Tell Ya 'bout Root Beer". made in a limited quantity of only 500 prior to their signing with Immortal Records, was never for sale. This single was originally intended for local release and to hopefully help bring some attention to the fledgling band trying to land a recording deal. Fantastic and colorful cover art by a then 16 year old Brandon Boyd. The flip side shows a photo of an even younger Brandon as a mere sprout touting root beer! The band's graffitti style logo was also designed by drummer Jose Pasillas and was later used on other early INCUBUS releases. This item is in mint condition and has never been played. Picture sleeve is of heavyweight card stock. Don't pass a severely rare opportunity to add a real piece of INCUBUS history to your collection. The songs are: Side A - "New Skin" : This would later be re-recorded, re-mixed and re-released as the first single from their first album, "Science". Side B - "As We Think We Is" : A great recording which includes Danny Elfman's legendary band Oingo Boingo saxaphonist Sam Phipps. ...Who knows if and when his Holy Grail of INCUBUS collectables will ever come along again!
