Description
Celebrating 13+ years of buying and selling cool stuff on eBay!!!
For the next little while I'm going to be offering a random selection of things from my basement - 45's, lp's, comics, sportscards, vintage clothing and random toys and collectibles. Today we offer:
One of the strangest singles to ever come out of the Psychedelic scene - "The Great Mantra" by the Kema Anada Chanters b/w Tantra Rama by Kema Ananda. The Kema Anada group was an Ontario semi religious group formed around meditation and Eastern thought - much like Baba Ram Dass and his contemporaries. The single itself was put out by Gaiety (home of the Checkerlads, White Knights and Jarvis Street Revue among others) and was produced by Brian Biesenthal who produced or engineered many Canadian classics such as the Jarvis Street Revue and Souls of Inspyration.
Whether this was produced to cash in on the Beatles and their trips to India - I have no idea, but the connection to the Canada Garage music scene is undeniable!
Please check my other auctions for more items - I ship Globally and am happy to combine items to save you $$$ on shipping costs whenever possible.
Condition: NM, I believe it was never played before I listened to it! As seen in scan and / or described above.
Shipping : to USA $5.00 air.
Canada $3.50.
($9.50 air to Europe / Asia / Australia / UK / South America etc)
Due to long surface mail times we only ship air mail to overseas.
I will ship anywhere in the world. Shipping turnaround is usually about 4-5 days (I ship once or twice a week). Here is a rough outline of my grades for records (I am quite strict on my grading, you can see by my feedback and comments...):
Mint: New or sealed (if not sealed then I opened it myself...)
NM: Played just a few times, like new.
Ex or Excellent: A record that has been played a handful of times and has been very well taken care of. No audible scratches to speak of, maybe a pop or two.
VG+ or VG++: A very decent used record, a few pops and/or some very light scratches but very acceptable.
VG: A record that has scratches, pops and is starting to show some serious wear.
Fair / Good etc.: Many scratches, writing on cover, a useable but rough record.
Poor: unplayable or nearly so, filler copy - I would only sell a very rare record in this condition.
Any questions? Please feel free to ask.
