Introducing the Beatles VJSR 1062 (stereo) VERSION 1: "LOVE ME DO" COLUMN BACK -- OVAL STYLE LABEL -- SAYS & PLAYS IN [TRUE] STEREO -- THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC COVER & RECORD & INNER-SLEEVE (One of 20 or so known to exist), NOT ONE OF THE MANY CONTERFEIT COPIES OF THIS GEM.

The condition of the record, on sight, is a G or G+ with plenty of light scratching and scuffing, but nothing that seriously affects play... Plays VG with minimal surface noise, and sounds AMAZING in true stereo. Cover is G- with a scrape on the front and some ringwear (see picture). Not visible in the jpeg is the number "17" written small in pencil in the lower left hand corner (front). Pretty minimal edgewear. No seam splits and spine is perfectly legible. There is an address label for the original owner affixed to the top left of the back cover (pictured below) as well as both labels (also below)- showing this to be the original record+cover package, not a match-up. Also included is the original white 'ads' inner-sleeve in G- condition (some tape repairs TO INNERSLEEVE ONLY).

Our store has been in operation for 20 years, and this is the only true copy of this record we've seen.

From friktech dot com: "Black label with color band. Oval logo. Has 'Love Me Do' and 'PS I Love You.' This is a stereo record and PLAYS IN STEREO. The label reads STEREO either at the top or on the side. Any copy claiming to be stereo which does not play in stereo is a fake. MANY COUNTERFEIT COPIES HAVE CIRCULATED OF THIS ALBUM IN STEREO. ALL known genuine copies of this album in stereo say STEREO on the (oval style) label and play in stereo. The cover of an original must also indicate stereo. There are NO known genuine 'version one' stereo copies on the brackets label. If any exist they would say STEREO on the label and play in stereo. Fake covers exist in the hundreds of thousands, and so any copy of the album claiming to have this cover must be verified by an expert [ours checked out with Bruce Spizer a few years ago]. To date, about TWENTY original copies of this album in stereo with 'Love Me Do' in the song titles are known to exist."

This would be a beautiful addition to any serious Beatle collector's stash. Don't hesitate to ask any questions about this item. Fair reserve.
