INTRODUCING THE BEATLES Vee Jay LP 1062 MONO All black label with small brackets SUPER RARE!!! NO RESERVE
Of the multitude of label variations that Vee Jay issued this LP on, the all black label with small brackets is by far the rarest and easily the toughest to find! The vinyl is a nice clean VG+ with NM- labels and a solid VG cover.
The cover grade has been marked down because of some flecking on the upper portion of the spine. There is also a section of spine where the interior is exposed due to paper loss. There is slight ring wear at the bottom and middle but no writing, tape, stickers, tears or other problems aside from the spine. If someone felt the need to do so, upgrading the cover will be WAAAAAY easier and cheaper than upgrading the vinyl! It certainly wouldn't be a necessity though as the cover presents nicely!
Enough about the cover... it's the vinyl that's the STAR of this show!
The previous owners must have been really meticulous about handling their cherished Fab Four wax as there are no real problems to speak of. The disc is clean all around with the exception of a small scratch or two on each side. Only one of these can be heard though on Anna/Chains and it tracks without issue. No skips, sticks or snags. The vinyl has a few VERY MINOR scuffs here but is still nice and glossy! The majority of the vinyl tracks with little or no background noise.
The labels are graded NM-. Marked down slightly because of VERY MINOR scuffing on side one from storage. No writing, stickers or any problems whatsoever!
I have owned several of these over the years and I can't stress enough just how difficult it is to find these in nice condition! This is the second nicest I have ever seen in my 30+ years collecting Beatles! (the nicest one has been added to my collection. Sorry!)
I have set a very reasonable opening bid and Buy It Now at less than half of book value for VG so as to move this rarity into the next deserving collection!
