Description

On offer here is a very rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Iron Butterfly called 'In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida' and is a UK 1st MONO pressing on the 1st Press Red/Maroon (Plum) Atlantic label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!!  IT IS AN ALL TIME CLASSIC LP AND INCREDIBLY SOUGHT AFTER!!!!  ONE SIDE OF THE LP IS TAKEN UP WITH ONE OF THE 1960s ALL TIME DEFINITIVE PSYCH TRACKS - 'IN-A-GADDA-DA-VIDA' (FULL LENGTH 17.05)!!!!  HOWEVER WHAT MAKES THIS LP SERIOUSLY RARE AND EXTRA SPECIAL IS THAT IT IS A MONO UK 1ST PRESSING!!!!  THIS WAS ONE OF THE LAST LPS EVER TO BE AVAILABLE IN MONO ON THE ATLANTIC LABEL (VIRTUALLY ALL WERE STEREO) AND WAS ONLY EVER PRESSED FOR AN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNT OF TIME - BEFORE MONOS WERE DISCONTINUED FOREVER!!!!  TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THIS LP WAS NEVER AVAILABLE IN ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN MONO - AND THIS MAKES THIS LP A MASSIVE RARITY!!!!  DONT UNDERESTIMATE THE HUGE RARITY OF THIS LP IN MONO - IT WILL SURELY BE A VERY VERY LONG TIME BEFORE YOU SEE ANOTHER!!!!  THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK MONO 1ST PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 'TEXTURED' RED/MAROON (PLUM) ATLANTIC LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS MONO 'MACNEILL' COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND IN MEGA RARE MONO - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!  This is the ORIGINAL MONO UK 1st pressing from 1968 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is 587 116 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Red/Maroon (Plum) Atlantic label (see picture) and is a MONO 1st pressing!!!!

The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in BRILLIANT condition overall!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and at first glance this record appears to be MINT!!!!  However on closer examination under light - there is 1 virtually INVISIBLE hairline type mark, 1 light hairline, 2 or 3 MEGA light scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ALL OF ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!!  However although this LP looks very VERY nice indeed - it plays a little way below the visual grading.  It plays with only a VERY few clicks/pops at the VERY beginning of Side 1 (virtually NONE elsewhere), NO sticking, NO jumps, and barely ANY crackle AT ALL!!!!  However there is some background sound in places - and whilst for the most part it is VERY unnoticeable and VERY low level indeed - it is slightly more audible at the beginning of Side 2 (though this drops away VERY quickly indeed).   The record has NO groovewear AT ALL - and only some VERY mild distortion in places on the louder notes.  The record must grade visually Very Good++ if not better - with the playing grade as mentioned above.  PLEASE NOTE - that although this LP may not be MINT - its OUTSTANDING rarity in MONO definitely makes it worth considering - as this LP simply NEVER turns up in MONO and it will surely be a very VERY long time before you see another!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record also comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve!!!! The 1st Press MONO Laminated Cover is BRILLIANT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only 1 indentation line (colour is NOT affected and this is virtually INVISIBLE), only a few light creases (cover is VERY flat looking), only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), shiny laminate, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back is in BRILLIANT condition with barely ANY rubbing AT ALL, NO ringwear, barely ANY yellowing AT ALL, NO grubbyness and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good++++ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A MONO 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!!

HAVE A LOOK AT MY PICTURES - I DO MY BEST TO SHOW THE RECORD FROM ALL ANGLES AND MAKE THE PICTURES AS CLEAR AS POSSIBLE - THERE IS NOTHING TO HIDE!!!! It really is a GREAT looking LP and it is truly rare to find any copies of this MEGA RARE LP in this sort of condition!!!!
