Somber and serene syndrums & sequencer trance - ambience - coldwave with distant, chanted vocals. HOLY GRAIL item for the minimal synth fan ! This was their second release, after 1983's "Terror Story" 7", but definitely what most people consider to be their best release. For those who are not familiar with the artist
Lead by Steve Field, Iron Curtain was a minimal wave band from Santa Barbara, California that played regularly in the Los Angeles underground music scene. They were heavily influenced by The Cure, OMD, Joy Division and Kraftwerk. The band released several records in small quantities even though they had great fan base, hence over the years these releases have gained mass cult appeal which has driven the prices of used copies to fetch hundreds of dollars. After several years of searching for Steve Fields the front man of the group, Pylon Records is pleased to bring the entire catalogue into print for the first time on CD & LP reissue.
