This is the ULTRA RARE NUMBERED LP issued in 1993. Capturing a slice of prime Dickinson-era Maiden, it is pretty much a greatest hits set just before the first time Bruce left the band. Released by EMI as an 'Official Bootleg,' each set was numbered and STAMPED on the front sleeve.Cleverly packaged as a white sleeve with the title information 'screen-printed' on the front, this is a luxurious package and a must-have for Iron Maiden collectors. This LP is stamped '5278.'
One of the best and also one of the most over-looked Maiden live albums, 'Live At Donington' documents the group on fire as the headline act at the Monsters Of Rock festival. A well recorded set, the music is kept bouyant with the active participation of the crowd... most notably on the thunderous roar during 'Running Free.' If ever you wanted proof that Maiden are THE live metal band of the last twenty years THIS is it!
As mentioned before, this LP set is EXTREMELY rare and is getting impossible to find. It was a LIMTED EDITON release and each set was unique with its unique number. GRAB YOURSELF A TREAT!
All my items are sent registered First Class and are professionally packed using brown mailers and stiffeners. I grade strictly according to the Record Collector Price Guide and never grade anything MINT which is not sealed! BID WITH CONFIDENCE!!
CONDITION OF VINYL: NEAR MINT. The records in this set are STUNNING! When you remove the discs from the protective inners they slide out like new LPS, and the playing surfaces are almost SPOTLESS. With the sole exception of a tiny inaudible mark on Record 2 Side 2, the discs are AS NEW. I believe in giving prospective buyers a crystal clear description of what they are getting: most buyers would grade these discs as MINT! Each side is unmarked with NO needlewear and not even any paper scuffs. The labels are PERFECT. The PLAYBACK is absolutely SUPERB, with only very very minimal popping in the run-in groove. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THESE DISCS!
CONDITION OF SLEEVE: EXCELLENT. The sleeve is in lovely condition: stiff, uncreased and unworn. There are some minor grime marks at the bottom of the rear sleeve and on the right hand side, please see the photographs. These marks are merely storage grime from before I purchased the record (I now keep it in a PVC sleeve) and I'm sure they can be cleaned up with a normal office eraser. The top of the front sleeve has a tiny indentation from the records being stored in the sleeve. The spine of the record is perfectly stiff, with the title information being clearly legible. The printing through-out is PERFECT... except of course the 'IRON MAIDEN' on the front which is designed to look like that (to give it that 'Bootleg' feel!)
