You are bidding on a vinyl LP of ‘Piece of Mind’ as released by Iron Maiden in 1983.

The gatefold sleeve has very minor shelf wear on the outer sleeve, and the inner is a generic white paper sleeve. I am only selling this item as I do not currently have a good quality record deck and have the album on CD (so I have not tested playback). The vinyl appears very clean.

This is the fourth studio album from the legends, and was released at a time when they were arguably at their most exciting.

The album peaked at #3 in the UK and was later certified platinum in both the UK and USA where it peaked at #14 on the Billboard charts. Two singles were released from the album, the bona fide classic ‘The Trooper’ which peaked at #12 in the UK, and ‘Flight of Icarus’, - it seems bizarre nowadays that ‘Flight of Icarus’ peaked one place higher at #11, but this may have been due to the excitement of its release as it  preceded that of the album. Both these singles, alongside ‘Where Eagles Dare’ and ‘Revelations’ appeared in the 2019 live sets - indeed no other album featured more tracks so underlining the classic status of this album.

. With a playing times of over 45 minutes, the full track listing is:

Where Eagles Dare

Revelations

Flight of Icarus

Die With Your Boots On

The Trooper

Still Life

Quest for Fire

Sun and Steel

To Tame a Land
