1999 LIVE 12" CLEAR VINYL EP on Tortuga Records 008
LIMITED EDITION of only 250 COPIES!!!
Out-of-print 7" stoner drone ambient hardcore noise electronic rock abstract doom metal post metal progressive sludge post rock avant-garde black metal experimental heavyosity. Aaron Turner of Lotus Eaters, Old Man Gloom, Twilight. If you're a fan of Pelican, Botch, Converge, Neurosis, Tool, Jesu, Godflesh, Melvins, Sunn0))), Boris, Tool, Earth, COIL, Swans, y'know what area I'm talkin' about, you may like this.
One of their earliest releases, this live and extremely limited vinyl recorded is much sought after by collectors and fans. 250 is an extremely small number, even for a band who isn't yet popular or widely collected. It always seems odd when someone presses such a small number. It makes it doomed to instant collectibility and high prices forever.
Now 10 years old and getting harder to find. This is one of the most difficult to locate. I've only seen a couple of them sell on eBay in the last year or so. You can go to popsike.com and see what they've sold for over the last 3 years or so. Or you can go to the discogs info site, look at the info they've compiled on the record, and look at the ad there, where someone's trying to sell their copy.

Aaron Turner designed this. Clear cover. Clear 12" vinyl.
Plastic slipsleeve with flap that folds into another flap. It has a couple of wrinkles, but looks fine. Plays beautifully and LOUD.
Vinyl EX/EX+
Etched messages on each side in run-out groove, matrix. One side says "How About A Fresca?" and the flipside reads...well, I'm not sure what it reads, because they wrote both of the quotes in the same exact spot on each side, and they're layered over each other, backward and forward!
There wasn't a card listing and info or credits with this when we got it, but if we can find one somewhere, we'll surely throw it in for you.
This is just a clear vinyl 12" record and a plastic slipcase.
We will ship ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. $4 US $6 Canada $10 overseas
WIKIPEDIA do be SAY:
Aaron Turner is a musician, singer, graphic artist, and founder of label Hydra Head Records. He is most widely known for his role as guitarist and vocalist for the post-metal band Isis, while also participating in several other bands and projects such as Old Man Gloom and Lotus Eaters.
Though raised in New Mexico, Turner moved to the Boston area where he attended school and formed Isis and Hydra Head. In June 2003, Turner moved operations of both the band and label to Los Angeles, California (home of Isis' current label Ipecac Recordings) where he works on several musical projects and artwork for many different bandsTurner cites Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Godflesh, Neurosis, Tool, and Led Zeppelin as influences on Isis' sound. However, he points to the electronica and hip hop genres as shaping the group's rhythmic focus and use of sampling, as well as their occasional digressions into ambient passages. He has also listed Melvins, Jimi Hendrix, Swans, Björk, Beastie Boys, Oxbow, Earth, and Coil as among his favorite artists, and has noted that Megadeth, Metallica, and Slayer were important to his early interests in the guitar
Hydra Head Records is an independent record label which specializes in heavy metal music, founded in New Mexico by Aaron Turner (of Isis). It has two imprints; Hydra Head Noise Industries, which specialises in experimental and noise music, and another entitled Tortuga Records.
Hydra Head was founded in 1993 as a distribution company while Turner was still in high school. In 1995, he moved to Boston to attend art school, when he was handed a Vent demo, whose seven inch would be the first record released on Hydra Head. The label grew to accommodate local bands such as Roswell, Corrin, Piebald and Converge, and after Turner graduated from college in 1999, it became a full-time endeavour. Hydra Head recently relocated to Los Angeles, California from their former home in Boston, Massachusetts.
Some of the bands signed to the label include Cave In, Pelican, Xasthur, Kayo Dot, Boris, and Jesu. Its discography includes Botch, Khanate, and Harkonen, who were all signed to Hydra Head prior to their respective disbandings.

See the photo(s). Sorry about my hand in the shots, (if it is), but I try to NEVER LAY THE VINYL DOWN ON ANYTHING, unlike lots of sellers, who FREAKIN' lay records down on tables and things to photograph them! We give them all the very clean hand or WHITE GLOVE TREATMENT, as you see in the photos, and take the pics with someone holding the vinyl in the air, never touching it, pulling it carefully from its sleeve.
In this case, the record is being held without anyone touching the vinyl, and with fingers on the middle of the 7", touching the record label.
Whatever we sell you is going to be in the best shape possible. We're all collectors and know that other collectors appreciate the extra mile. I mean, there may be a smoker in the building, but he doesn't blow it into the records, and we handle them as if they might explode! (Although they won't, postal person, we promise)
Have a good time bidding. Maybe you can get it for a steal. Good luck. Hopefully you'll get it for a good price. If you have any questions, fire 'em at us!
We will ship this ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.
