Ian Carr/Nucleus –‘Solar Plexus’ Vertigo swirl prog 1971
Great progressive jazz piece featuring a who’s who of the Uk scene. Labels are ex++. It doesn’t have the original inner. Vinyl is fairly graded at VG+, which doesn’t mean it’s trashed. It plays fine on a project deck with very sporadic pops and split second surface crackle that’s buried beneath the very powerful playing. The cover I have to grade as good simply because of three inches of heavy wear at the top of the spine. Other than that it would be VG+.
The record hasn’t been over played, it just happened to have the misfortune to fall into the hands of someone who didn’t look after things. Recently upgraded and it’s a very good starter copy.
