Description

An original and rare 1973 1st Press copy of Ian Carr's Nucleus - Labyrinth. Released on the Vertigo spaceship label it remains a jazz-rock/fusion masterpiece.
The record has been Degritter cleaned and has come up spotlessly clean with a good glossy sheen. Two large scuff marks visible on Side 1 and a couple of very faint hairlines on Side 2. No feelable damage. Graded VG+ based on appearance but it plays more like EX.
Playback is superb with wide, vibrant and swirling sound in every corner of the room. Extremely dynamic and exquisitely detailed, it remains fresh and enchanting to this day. A wonderful atmospheric listening experience. The vinyl plays through beautifully with no jumping or sticking and a surprisingly low noise floor given the age.
The outer gatefold sleeve is not in such good shape.  Although still doing its job, the spine has worn away approx 2/3rds along the length so only the catalogue number is visible (see photos). There is also corner rubbing/ringwear/surface wear to both outer faces.
A good playable copy of this rare album at a reasonable price to reflect the sleeve condition.
We have taken loads of pictures in good natural daylight so you can see exactly what you are buying. Please take a moment to look at the photos as they form part of the description.
