Description
Very nice copy of Ida Haendels 1995 recording for Testament Records of Bach's Unaccompanied Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin. The LPs look in NM condition, pristine and shiny. I have only listened to selected movements on each LP as I don't have the time to listen to the complete set. The sound is excellent - clean, no surface noise and barely a pop or tick to be heard, apart from one side (C Major Sonata) where there were some occasional pops - though the record itself looks in fabulous condition. The box is in NM condition, apart from some small residue from a shop sticker on the upper right hand side which I think could be partially removed with the right knowledge of how to do that. Recorded at the No.1 Abbey Road Studio in 1995 in pure analogue the set comprises 3 180g LPs in a box set, the notes are printed on the reverse of the box. It's surprising that a violinist of Haendel's stature waited so long to record the Bach Sonatas and Partitas, but it is a tribute to her greatness that Testament saw fit to release her recording on audiophile LPs
