Description
This is Clef Records MG C-112, Illinois Jacquet Collates, a black trumpet label, deep groove, 10" mono issue featuring tunes by various Jacquet outfits from 1951 and a wonderful David Stone Martin cover. The record is in VG+(+) condition showing some light marks and a pressing discoloration but playing quietly except for some moments of light background interference caused by the pressing. The iconic David Stone Martin cover shows a tear in the upper right, repaired with tape and a pen, but not effecting the illustration, and is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent. An excellent copy, remarkable for such an early 10" issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
