Incredibly rare Rod Stewart' 1966 UK 7" single "Shake", Columbia DB 7892

This is the original, EXTREMELY RARE 1966 UK original pressing of Rod Stewart's 3rd and rarest single on the Columbia label "Shake" -  B Side is "I Just Got Some"

This record is on the UK Columbia record label, number DB 7892 and comes complete with the original Columbia sleeve

MATRIX NUMBERS : Side 1 - 7XCA 30003 - 1 Side 2 - 7XCA 30003

The condition of the vinyl is Good+ : some of the original vinyl sheen has been retained and the appearance of both sides of the record is good; there are, however, numerous surface hairlines which do detract a little from the vinyl appearance. The quality of the audio is Very Good. There are a few background, very minor clicks but no loud "pops", skips, or jumps and the level of crackle is minimal but IS noticeable in places. None of this significantly detracts from the overall great listening experience of what are undoubtedly two superb, classic early Rod Stewart tracks. The record labels are both GOOD but no better than that and as you can see from the photos there are blemishes, the most significant of which is a line drawn through the "Columbia" heading on the side 2 label. The original Columbia green and white sleeve is in Very Good condition and certainly functional, but it does suffer from some mild creasing and very minor age discolouration on the reverse side.

NOTE : the overall condition of this item is GOOD (though the quality of the audio is VERY GOOD), so if you are looking for a mint, near mint, excellent, or even very good copy then you should think twice about bidding : I don't want a disappointed customer!! In summary...the labels are tatty (especially side 2), the vinyl suffers from numerous surface only hairlines (there is nothing deep rooted, however), and the quality of the audio is certainly very good with no nasty clicks, pops, or jumps and only low level background crackle which is barely noticeable in places.

This is a true piece of  very, very rare pop and rock history that will only increase in value and that would enhance any serious collector's collection! If you are a Rod Stewart collector then this is a must for you - one of  his earliest and certainly rarest singles in overall good condition that is simply virtually impossible to find these days.
