Description

"Independent Jamaica" Various Artists Trojan TTL 15, 1969. Sleeve in very good condition - original sterling price sticker, mild wear and small ink stamp on rear (see listings photo); disc extremely good for its age - clean, no marks, no jumps, a little amount of noise/wear. One of the earliest Trojan LPs, very rare in this (or any!) condition. 16 tracks predating not only rock steady and reggae but, in several cases, ska too! A calypso track and several New Orleans type soul copies ( the Maytals track doesn't sound like Toots to me!) but lots of amazing hard to find early ska ( see photo).
