Description

You are bidding for a very rare white label test pressing of the very first Interpol vinyl release - the Fukd ID #3 12" single released on the Scottish independent label Chemikal Underground Records in 2000. The original 12" pressing was limited to 1000 copies and is highly sought after. Up for auction here is white label test pressing of that 12" - one of only ten copies pressed. It is in mint condition with no marks, scuffs, blemishes or scratched on the vinyl and no spindle wear around the centre hole. The white labels are unmarked. Every sign is that the record has never been played. The run-out grooves gives the catalogue numbers CHEM 047A & B respictively and have the presser's stamp DAMONT scratched below the catalogue number.

The record comes in a plain white paper sleeve with CHEM047 written in biro in the top corner.

The record was bought at the Independent Labels Market at Spitalfields in London on Saturday 10th December 2011direct from the Chemkal Underground stall. It was given to me by a friend and although I am a big Interpol fan I regret that I am having to sell it for financial reasons. It is 100% genuine and not a bootleg or fake. Possobly  a once in a lifetime chance to buy such a phenomenally rare Interpol item.

Any questions - please ask.

PLEASE NOTE: eBay make it impossible to apply accurate postage charges. I PROMISE I will only charge you the EXACT postage it costs me to send. The item is already sealed/boxed and ready to go so no packing costs. I would recommend a signed for, tracked, insured postage method for the winning bidder and I will source the cheapest method of doing this for you and with your agreement.

Please note I do not ship to Italy, South America or Greece. Sorry.

Comes from a smoke and pet free home. Item will be packaged professionally. Please check my feedback and buy/bid in confidence.

Fukd ID #3 is the debut EP by New York post-punk band Interpol. It was released on December 11, 2000 by Chemikal Underground on the Fukd ID imprint. It is a known rarity, and highly collectible amongst fans of the band: only 1,000 copies of the disc were originally pressed, and it is now out of print. These songs also comprise some of the very first Interpol recordings, all of which were made on an 8 track recorder. "PDA", "Roland", and "5" were recorded in 1998, whereas "Precipitate" was recorded the next year in 1999.
The song "5" was originally titled "Get the Girls", and was previously released on a demo tape by the band, along with "PDA" and "Roland". Taken from Wikipedia
