Description
The Beatles "Introducing The Beatles" Vee-Jay VJLP-1062 mono LP complete with the hard-to-find original, white VJ inner sleeve. This is absolutely guaranteed the real thing (and passes every test for authenticity). This is also the much rarer "Version 1" containing the songs "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" (around the middle of 1964 a lawsuit was brought by Capitol causing VJ to drop these songs and replace them with "Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me"...which is referred to as Version 2). The solid VG cover is Spizer-cataloged as VJ 1062(1).MC3. It has no seamsplits, writing or staining anywhere but does have a small amount of flaking on the bottom edge along the left side. The bottom left corner also has small "wrinkle" and "creasing" evidence . It is totally presentable. The solid VG disc is Spizer-cataloged as VJ 1062(1).MR1A...it has no major scratches at all, but you can tell it's been around for 42 years. The labels are truly excellent with NO problems (oval Vee-Jay). The inner sleeve is the correct "white" one (not the red one) for the time period...but is mostly split at the seams, and tattered in a few spots. The whole thing about this auction is that it's the real thing - and it's totally complete the way it was sold in 1964. And it's ultra-rare. For framing or playing - this one's a collectible. Priced to go (I've got the reserve just under $100). U.S. buyer to pay $6.00 for double-boxed USPS priority shipping (double-boxed media shipping is available at $3.00 upon request). International buyer please inquire for shipping costs. Insurance at the discretion of buyer. Please email me with any question.
