Here’s a rare copy of Introducing the Beatles on the Vee Jay label! This is a version one, with the songs “Love Me Do” and P.S. I Love You”. These tracks were deleted and replaced on later pressings due to legal problems. This is 100% guaranteed to be an original copy- the version one variations were only in print for a few weeks in early 1964! Be careful, as there are many fakes out there. This is one of the rarer label types with an oval logo and “45” type labels. In the rush to get these records out at the height of Beatlemania, the factories used whatever they had on hand- including paper label stock meant for 45s. You can see in the pictures the label is too small, leaving some extra space at the end of the dead wax. I have played the album, and the songs do match the listings on the label and cover. It did not skip when I played it. The vinyl grades G+, a fair amount of wear and scratches, the worst being a feelable scratch through several tracks on side 2, which clicks moderately here and there. These were very well-made deep groove pressings and tend to play better than they look. Label tear on side 2, cover has some clear tape along the bottom seam and a name on the back in ballpoint pen. This is a mono pressing, VJ LP 1062. It’s a West Coast pressing with a delta symbol and “MR” in a circle, pressed by Monarch pressing plant. The original company innersleeve is included- it has some tears and clear tape on it. Hard to find album! Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you.
