Description
"Introducing the Beatles" - Original Vinyl LP from VeeJay Records.
This is a RARE 1964 edition. View the links below for more information. Inherited from my mother. It has been safely tucked in a record storage case for 40+ years. It shows the age and some wear but I can see no damage.
This unique version of this record features the 'column back' rear album cover design. Because VeeJay was fighting with Capitol records for rights to the Beatles' recordings, they released this album before the legal battles could heat up. The songs included (and stamped on the LP itself) are DIFFERENT from what is shown on the cover art design. This was later updated and fixed, but it makes this album a very unique version for a collector.
The album itself includes music from: Please Please Me and Ask Me Why The album COVER ART incorrectly notes the tracks as: Love Me Do and PS I Love You
Here is more on the different album versions (note: this one is MONO version 1 with column back): http://www.rarebeatles.com/photospg/introvj.htm
