  Here it is.  The holy grail of US Beatles LPs.  This is the most valuable of all the Beatles US LPs.  This is Introducing the Beatles, first pressing, Ad Back edition in TRUE STEREO.  This is VJ SR 1062.  This copy of the LP was printed in January 1964.  Every day there are dozens of counterfeit copies of this LP on eBay.  This is guaranteed to be 100% the real thing. 

       There was quite a bit of confusion regarding the Beatles when they first hit American shores.  Several record companies gained rights to their recordings.  One of these, (Vee Jay) secured the rights to the songs that helped compose their first UK EMI LP (Please Please Me).  That is what this record is, excluding both sides of their second UK single ("Please Please Me" and "Ask Me Why").  Vee Jay quickly ran into legal troubles.  Their first problem was their legal right to the Beatles first UK single ("Love Me Do"/P.S. I Love You").   The album had to be re-issued quickly with those two tracks withdrawn.  Vee Jay was left with many additional copies of the record which it could not sell with the original cover because Capitol would take legal action because the song titles were printed on the back.  In an effort to hide the contents, an ad with 25 other Vee Jay LPs was used as a cover for a very short period of time.  It is unlikely that more than 1000 true stereo copies of this jacket were ever pressed. 

         The jacket is in VG- condition.  It has some tears on the top.  There is some writing on the back unfortunately.  It passes all tests of authenticity.  There is a shadow next to George.  The words "Printed in the U.S.A." are near the bottom left guaranteeing authenticity.  Please see pictures. 

         The disc itself is in VG condition.  Someone (the original owner?) wrote their name on label unfortunately.  There is hissing and popping in some of the quiet passages but there are no skips or sticks of any kind.  All tracks (except "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You") play in TRUE stereo.  Those 2 tracks play in rechanneled stereo.  The label on both sides of the disc clearly says STEREO guaranteeing authenticity.  Please see pictures.
