Description
This original album was purchased new by a family member shortly after its release, in 1964 or early 1965. It has been stored in a dry, temperature-controlled setting since then. Was last played appx twenty-five years ago. It appears in good condition, but no turntable is available to listen to it. Seller is not an authority on collectible lps, but from inspecting other items for sale on ebay and from the record’s history it seems clear that it is not a fake or duplicate. It is the version 2, with “Ask Me Why” and “Please, Please Me.” Apparently a mono, for it does not have the “Stereophonic” at the top of album cover. Has the bracketed VJ and rainbow circle on the album. LP1062 on cover; VJLP1062 on album. See photos. As photos indicate, cover photos of the Fab 4 are somewhat scuffed, but cover is in good condition and intact. There is, however, an appx 3 inch slit at upper right-hand corner of album. Also two names scribbled at top of back cover. The album still has its original London Records sleeve (see photos). On ebay prices for this record cover a wide range, so I am putting it on at a nominal $25 and will let knowledgeable collectors determine its value.
