from a small collection of classical
records put together by a serious collector
 
Decca SXL series was launched in 1958 - labels are black with silver lettering -original recording by the Decca Reccord Co London around the top edge-DECCA and FFSS logo in silver below silver band with Full Frequency Sound Stereophonic running across label - a deep circular groove runs around the label sometimes called ED1 English Decca First label - all the above identify this series as pressed before 1963 - recorded and mastered using only valve equipment and are the highest quality and most valuable of the SLX Series
