Metamorphosis is the fourth studio album by Iron Butterfly, released on August 13, 1970. It reached number 16 on the US charts and number 31 in Canada. The single "Easy Rider" reached number 66 on the Billboard chart and number 48 in Canada, making it the band's biggest hit aside from "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida".
Condition Report
The Vinyl is described as Excellent & played to that grading today, average background & no skips or stops... Side 2 Track 1 has a 1cm just feelable line that creates a few background clicks of no real consequence. Several spindle marks to both labels. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record. The Vinyl has retained much of its rich waxy lustre.
The Gatefold Cover is conservatively described as Very Good & is made from my favourite USA thick card. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is some minor ring wear to front & verso. There are some colour losses to surfaces, edges & spine. There are some areas of minor foxing to front & verso. No seam splits. Couple of minor stains here & there. Archival notch bottom right open edge. Please see attached photos...price rating
