Here's an instance where you collectors have to be weary of sellers mixing out records and jackets to get the best version they can. Rest assured, this is a matching set. Always check your matrix numbers guys! Several versions of this look EXACTLY the same, but the catalog numbers don't lie! If you want the 1st Capitol press, here it is.

Iron Maiden. Greatest metal band of all time. Forever my favorite band. If you're a geek like me, and need every version of everything, here's one you're probably looking for. I have 2 so this one is up for grabs. Greatest live record ever! The World Slavery Tour captured live, for all to hear eternally. This is 2 full LP's of Maiden at their prime. I believe this is the point that EVERYONE had heard of Iron Maiden. I mean, come on...what other band was doing 4 nights at Long Beach with virtually NO RADIO PLAY!?

If you call yourself metal and dont have this...time to step up. Every classic up to this point in their career is kicked out into your face here. From the massive Aces High to the galloping of The Trooper to the punkish Running Free to the epic Rime of the Ancient Mariner...its all here. And even more so than the studio version, listening to Rime of the Ancient Mariner in headphones, to this day, still gives me goosebumps! The ultimate highlight of this album to me is getting Bruce singing Phantom of the Opera. That is my favorite Maiden song of all time, and while I love Paul to death, Bruce owns that song vocally. Anyone else remember MTV showing the live show at like 1am back in the day? Don't you miss the good ole days?

Fans of Helloween, Sweet Savage, WASP, Twisted Sister, Accept, Saxon, Queensryche, Y&T, Venom, Hirax, Grim Reaper, DIO, Samson, Tygers of Pan Tang, Tank, Warfare, Motorhead, Grave Digger, Omen, etc. MUST own this.

A note on Maiden record grading: I have never met anyone that has a Maiden record that didn't love it. Bands with a fanbase like Maiden, Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, etc...well, near mint original press records are hard to find. Why? Because everyone LOVED them and listened to their records to death! LOL. So keep that in mind.

Jacket - EX    Gatefold. Jacket retains beautiful gloss. Spine looks nice. Corners are nice. Seams are tight with no splits. Opening side is crisp. No tape or glue present.


Inner sleeves/lyric sheets - EX    Original with photos and lyrics. Slight seam splits on a few sides. Bright and beautiful. No tape or glue present.

                           Side 4 - Plays fantastic. Nice luster. Typical sleeve scuffs and light scratches, none effecting play other than a minor skip during guitar solo in Phantom of the Opera. Label is bright in color. Center hole features no distortion
