Description
Another hugely underated yet legendary maiden release. Only officially released in the UK as the double clear vinyl and in Brazil as double black vinyl. What makes these pressings special are a few things. The band had allready lost Adrian to ASAP and other solo activities.. Replaced by Janick to keep maiden rolling on. Then Bruce left to pursue a solo career and more non music activities. A huge blow to the band as not only were they two world class songwriters down but it would be incredibly hard to replace Bruces' legendary vocals on albums and tours. Steve Harris was also just about holding the band together when Blaze Bailey whipped them into a new raw maiden sound and energy. Unfortunately at the time Maiden were not moving into new territory with the fans and something wasnt quite right. CD sales had also taken over the vinyl market and many pressing plants closed as the day of vinyl was over. Maiden were not at their peak in 95 and things looked bleak. A much more angry and raw maiden sound punched through thanks to Blaze. Steve was in bad place as well so refected in the music. Some absolute killers on here including, the epic 11 minute sign of the cross and man on the edge. Blaze eventually left the band after next album Virtual XI to be replaced by Bruce. This was reflected by the low numbers of these albums pressed. Very hard to find in release condition with the booklet. This one is day one condition. Never played. Nothing up with it at all which is why im happy to grade as mint. A very sought after and collectible piece of maiden vinyl history and massively underated. Happy bidding! Any questions please ask.
