Hi Folks. Up for auction is a copy of  JC Higginbotham & His Six Hicks on OKeh 8772

Titles are:  "Higginbotham Blues/Give Me Your Telephone Number"

Two classic jazz sides, this group culled from Luis Russell's band of the time. Great solos by "Higgy" on tb, Henry "Red" Allen, tpt, and Charlie Holmes on alto. Hard record to come across in ANY shape.

Condition is a strong  E, but plays better. No lams or digs. Unless you wanted this in N- shape, this would do just perfectly. Plays very strong. The Higginbotham Blues side looks to have more wear than the other, but I can't detect anything in the way of surface noise. 

A really nice copy of a great 78. If you don't have it, you'll want to get it. Reserve is reasonable.
